The resort of Pugnochiuso was granted the IQNet Certificate and RINA ISO 14001 in 2004. The resort of Pugnochiuso is registered in accordance to the reg. C:E: 761/01 –EMAS II.
What is the environmental certificate?
The environmental certificate is given to those organisations who voluntary choose to adhere to the International regulations ISO 14001:2004 or regulation 761/01,recognised at European level, and known as “EMAS”.
The application of these regulations in the area occupied by the resort of Pugnochiuso base their effectiveness on a method of careful planning – implementation – control – verification that apply to all aspects of the environment that the resort of Pugnochiuso is able to influence and keep under control.
In short, the tourist complex of Pugnochiuso to be certified; initially, worked on an environmental analysis of the area, that consisted of a an in-depth study of the services offered and the impact on the environment as a consequence of these services; at the same time following the guide lines given. It chose the Political environment (that you are able to see in the attached document in PDF), to be precise, the general principals and objectives of action that the tourist complex of Pugnochiuso intends to follow in order to respect the environment; It has defined an environmental program that contains a description of the measures adopted to achieve the desired objectives and results.; It has introduced a system of environmental management (SGA) , that is ,it has gathered together documents and procedures for the correct environmental management that go beyond the tourist complex of Pugnochiuso ;finally the tourist complex of Pugnochiuso carries out regular tests to control the efficiency of their environmental programs. Once verified, the tourist complex of Pugnochiuso makes its application for the ISO 14001: 2004 Certificate to RINA, the board accredited SINCERT, responsible for the issuing of the certificates.
