Cotup is the Consortium of Apulian Tour Operators. It was established in 1969 and now comprises over 300 companies  which are representative of the regional tourist sector. The main target of the Consortium is to promote tourism in the territory.

COTUP’s targets are shared not only by the members of the consortium but also by the whole tourist industry of the region. The thorough knowledge of tourism issues in Apulia, the focus on market evolutions - at national and international level - and the synergy with the institutions turn COTUP into an important reference point in the industry, capable of tackling and engaging in ambitious projects such as:

• To promote tourism in Apulia, from all points of view;
• To strengthen the relationship with the major international tour operators;
• To increase tourist flows towards Apulia from Italy and abroad;
• To deseasonalize tourist flows;
• To increase the awareness of the business industry towards quality and professional skills;
• To support the requirements of the operators;
• To optimize management costs;
• To cooperate with public and private bodies in solving issues related to the tourist sector and in implementing a broad promotional strategy.
