This is a small unique  town dating back to the second half of the 16th century. It lies on two hills which are rich in vegetation, especially with almond and olive trees which grow on a Caustic soil.

The western side of the town is characterised by the "trulli", an urban area made up of two quarters: Monti e Aia Piccola, which curl along the steep and winding alleys. If you climb back up the hill and walk down the alleys you can also visit these particular constructions. Both quarters are national monuments and since 1996 they are part of U.N.E.S.C.O. World Heritage.
