The Resort
The Resort is on the Apulian promontory of the Gargano, within the homonymous National Park on the edge of the Umbra Forest. Located 20 km from Vieste, approximately 25 km from Mattinata and extends over an area of about 150 hectares, in a magnificent position sloping down towards the sea with two adjacent bays of crystalline sea: Pugnochiuso bay, from which the resort takes the name, and Portopiatto bay.

The Environmental Policies
Pugnochiuso is environmentally friendly. The resort received the IQNet Certificate and RINA ISO 14001 – 2004 Certificate in 2005. The Pugnochiuso Resort has gained registration in accordance with Regulation C.E. 1221/2009 EMAS III.

The Climate
The climate is typically Mediterranean on the eastern side with mild winters and hot summers, while the Plateaus have rainy and cold winters and fairly mild summers.
